BAI Announces Emerging Leaders Scholarship Recipients

CHICAGO, September 27, 2016 – BAI, the financial services industry’s leading resource for actionable insights that power smart business decisions is proud to announce the recipients of the BAI Emerging Leaders Scholarship. BAI launched the scholarship program in 2015 to further invest in the professional development of the next generation of financial services leaders.

“BAI is committed to the development of the next generation of financial services leaders and is focused on providing powerful tools, relevant content and meaningful connections to help professionals take their careers to a higher level,” said Debbie Bianucci, president and chief executive officer, BAI. “We’re honored that we can offer these emerging leaders the opportunity to learn from their peers, witness innovation at work and bring back insights that can be used to make smart decisions in their own organizations.”

Scholarship winners will be awarded one conference registration to BAI Beacon, a bold new conference experience taking place in Chicago, October 5-6, 2016. At BAI Beacon, these recipients will have access to more than 70 sessions, two keynote luncheons, a VIP pass to Illuminate: A Celebration of Innovation and mentor/mentee programing during the conference. In addition, they will have the opportunity to network with some of the most influential industry leaders, strategists, and visionary thought leaders from around the globe.

Winners of the 2016 BAI Emerging Leaders Scholarship are:

Julieta Falcon, Underserved and Multicultural Segment Manager, BBVA Compass

Julieta focuses on managing programs to attract, retain and cross-sell underserved and multicultural customers through programs, products and customer service. Previously a Wealth Management Segment manager, Julieta works on sustainable business models that are customer centric.

Jody Hulsey, Training and Development Coordinator, Independence Bank

Having started his career in banking in 2015, after a number of years focused on corporate sales, management and training experience in the technology industry, Jody is currently focusing on designing a career path model and developing a more effective and efficient training platform for Independence Bank’s rapid growth and expansion.

Hubert Lubowicz, Assistant Vice President, Corporate Development, Liberty Bank of Savings

Having spent the majority of his tenure with Liberty functioning as a Business Analyst/Project Manager, Hubert has had a focus on creating operational efficiency and enhancing the quality of key business processes, including the deployment of new technologies such as teller cash recyclers, an enterprise content management system and a paperless loan origination system.

Chinyere Ubamadu, V.P., Marketing Manager, Atlantic Capital Bank

Chinyere is an innovative marketing communications professional and collaboration builder with experience developing and implementing strategic marketing and public relations plans, covering healthcare, not-for-profit and banking sectors. She maintains several professional and community affiliations; including the ongoing support of Girls Inc. of Chattanooga, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Chattanooga and the Baylor School.

At BAI Beacon, these recipients will have access to unparalleled educational opportunities and use of technology to drive a personalized, fast-paced agenda, providing new perspectives and 360-degree views on the key issues facing financial services leaders. In addition, the recipients will participate in the U.S. premiere of FinTechStage, offering a unique view and experience with leading industry innovators.
